Turkey – Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor

In Kristine Anigwe’s first season with the LA Sparks, she carved out an important role, starting in her first ever playoff appearance. The California product averaged 11.6 minutes, 4.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and shot over 60% from the field. This offeason, she signed with Mersin Büyükşehir Belediyespor in Turkey.

 

Chelsea Gray

Spain – Bàsquet Girona

Chelsea Gray averaged 14 points, 5.3 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in her sixth WNBA season, shooting a career-best 93.9% from the free throw line. The 5’11” guard started in every game and led the Sparks in assists for the fourth straight year. This offseason, the 3-time All-Star signed with Bàsquet Girona in Spain.

Marie Gülich

Spain – Valencia Basket Club

In her first season with the LA Sparks, Marie Gülich averaged 9.9 minutes, 2.4 points, 1.9 rebounds. The German national and Oregon State product shot a career-best 50% from the field and signed with Valencia Basket Club, S.A.D of Spain in the offseason.

Brittney Sykes

GUARD

Turkey – OGM Ormanspor

In her first season with the LA Sparks, Sykes carved out an important role, starting in each of the last 14 games. The Syracuse product averaged 10.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and a career-best 1.5 steals. For her defensive efforts, she was named to the WNBA All-Defensive Second Team. Offensively, the 5’9” guard posted career-highs in FG% (48.7%), 3P% (32.7%), and FT% (80.6%). This offseason, the four-year veteran signed with OGM Ormanspor in Turkey.

Maria Vadeeva

Russia – UMMC EKATERINBURG

After her 2019-20 sophomore season with the Los Angeles Sparks, Maria Vadeeva returns to UMMC Ekaterinburg for her second season with the Euroleague team. Vadeeva opened the Sparks 2019 season with a season-high 24 points against Las Vegas and averaged 7.8 PPG, 3.9 RPG, and 0.7 APG. Maria sat out the 2020 single-site season in Bradenton, Florida and will begin her third season in the Euroleague.

Riquna Williams

Turkey – OGM Ormanspor

In her fourth season with the LA Sparks, Williams had her most efficient campaign, posting career-highs in FG% (43.5%) and 3P% (42.2%). The former Miami Hurricane averaged 10.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.1 steals, providing microwave scoring off the bench. This offseason, the former second round pick signed with OGM Ormanspor in Turkey.
