LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Sparks, led by five-time NBA champion and head coach Derek Fisher, begin the 2019 season with a talented roster featuring MVP’s Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike as well as All-WNBA point guard Chelsea Gray and back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year Alana Beard. This Sparks team is also headlined by newly acquired All-Star Chiney Ogwumike and the Sparks 2019 first round pick Kalani Brown.
The Sparks will begin pursuit of their league-leading 19th playoff appearance on May 26 at the Las Vegas Aces and then return to Staples Center to take on the Connecticut Sun in the home opener on May 31.
