Sparks Waive Beatrice Mompremier & Tynice Martin, Suspend Maria Vadeeva
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Sparks announced a talented 12-woman roster today featuring MVP’s Candace Parker and Nneka Ogwumike as well as All-WNBA point guard and three-time All-Star Chelsea Gray. The Sparks welcome back two-time champion Kristi Toliver and add four-time champion Seimone Augustus to the team.
The Sparks also announced today that 2020 draftees Beatrice Mompremier and Tynice Martin have been waived, and center Maria Vadeeva has been moved to the suspended list. The team remains in close contact with Vadeeva who will rejoin the Sparks in 2021. Sparks 2020 second round pick Leonie Fiebich, from Germany, will also remain overseas.
The Sparks are in pursuit of their league-leading 20th playoff berth and fourth WNBA championship.
