Game Recap - Storm at Sparks June 17
The Sparks dropped a home contest to the Seattle Storm, 98-67, on Tuesday night at Crypto.com Arena.
Forward-center Azurá Stevens recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Stevens also added three steals and a season-high six offensive rebounds.
Rookie guard Sarah Ashlee Barker set a career high in points (12), three-pointers made (4-for-5) and rebounds (seven) in 34 minutes, also a career high. Rookie forward Sania Feagin made her presence felt with a career-high three blocks, which also led the team.
Forward Rickea Jackson added 17 points and two steals in 35 minutes, going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line, while veteran forward Emma Cannon tallied a season-high eight rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench.
Veteran guard Shey Peddy made her first start of the season, tallying six points, four assists and three rebounds, while guard Grace Berger made her Sparks debut. Rookie forward Liatu King contributed six points, including a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line.
As a team, Los Angeles recorded a season-high 42 rebounds in the game with 13 of those coming on the offensive glass — also a season best.
