Lauren CoxForwardTurkey – Hatayspor2020 WNBA No. 3 overall pick Lauren Cox was acquired by the LA Sparks mid-season and had single-game career high’s in points (14), rebounds (8) and minutes (23) in 2021. She signed with Hatay BSB, a major sports club in Turkey that competes in the Turkish Super League and EuroCup Women. Nia CoffeyForwardFrance – Flammes CaroloNia Coffey had a career-year in the WNBA shooting 42% on 3-pointers and played in all 32 games. Over a late-in-the-season six-game road trip, Coffey led the Sparks in production and scored 71 points, while shooting 50% from the field and 56% from behind the arc. Arella GuirantesGuardUkraine – BC BudivelnykIn her rookie campaign, Arella Guirantes improved throughout the season and finished 5th in points per game among rookies. Brittney SykesGuardAustralia – UC CapitalsIn the 2021 WNBA season, Brittney Sykes emerged as a Defensive Player of the Year candidate, finishing the season No. 2 in the WNBA in estimated contribution (Positive Residual) and No. 1 in defensive win shares among guards (Basketball Reference). The guard played in all 32 games for the Sparks. Sykes signed with the UC Capitals in Australia for the offseason. The team plays in the Womens National Basketball League (WNBL). Maria VadeevaCenterRussia – UMMC EkaterinburgLA Sparks center Maria Vadeeva remained overseas for the 2021 WNBA season. Vadeeva plays for BC UMMC Ekaterinburg in Russia along with big names in the WNBA such as Brittney Griner, Breanna Stewart, Allie Quigley, Courtney Vandersloot, Jonquel Jones, and Emma Meesseman. Erica WheelerGuardPoland – BC PolkowiceIn her sixth WNBA season, Erica Wheeler posted averages of 13.4 points per game and 4.8 assists per game in her first season as the Sparks point guard. She played in all 32 games, finishing 5th in clutch points in the WNBA. Wheeler joins BC Polkowice in the offseason. Gabby WilliamsGuardHungary – Sopron BasketGabby Williams was acquired by the LA Sparks on May 9 in a trade with the Chicago Sky. Williams, a 5-foot-11 wing, remained on the suspended list for the 2021 season to honor her French national team commitments. Following the 2021 season, Williams signed with Sorpon Basket in Hungary. Amanda Zahui B.CenterTurkey – FenerbahceIn her seventh WNBA season and first with the LA Sparks, Amanda Zahui B. averaged a career-high 9.2 points per game and finished Top 10 in estimated defensive contribution per Positive Residual. The center started in 27 games, the most of her WNBA career. Zahui B. signed with Fenerbache in 2021, where she’ll play alongside fellow WNBA players Elizabeth Williams, Kayla McBride, Satou Sabally, Kiah Stokes, Bria Hartley and Jasmine Thomas.
