LOS ANGELES (June 30, 2021) – The Los Angeles Sparks re-signed Bria Holmes under a hardship exception contract, the team announced today. Holmes will be available tonight when the Sparks take on the Las Vegas Aces at 7:30 p.m. PT on Spectrum SportsNet and Amazon Prime.
The Sparks first signed Holmes to a training camp contract on Feb. 19, 2021. Holmes made the opening day roster and played in 12 games, starting four. She’s averaged 5.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 18.8 minutes per game.
On June 3, Holmes set a franchise record for single-game plus/minus with a +39 as the team beat the Indiana Fever 98-63. She scored 14 points off the bench in the game to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
The Sparks also announced the signing of Lauren Cox and the re-signing of Karlie Samuelson today.
