The Los Angeles Sparks announced today that the team has signed guard Shyanne Sellers to a WNBA Player Development Pool contract.

“Shyanne’s combination of size, vision and ability to create for others gives her a unique skill set at the guard position,” said Sparks Assistant General Manager Nate Nielsen. “She’s shown she can impact the game in a number of ways, and we believe there is significant upside in her game as she continues to develop.”

Sellers, a 6-foot-2 guard, was originally selected by the Golden State Valkyries with the No. 17 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. She joined the Dallas Wings on a training camp contract ahead of the 2026 season.

A native of Aurora, Ohio, Sellers played four seasons at Maryland, where she became the first player in program history to record at least 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 500 assists. She finished her career ranked No. 12 in program history with 1,676 points and No. 3 with 523 assists.

As a senior, Sellers earned Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention honors and All-Big Ten First Team recognition after averaging 14.4 points, 4.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. She was also named a WBCA Coaches’ All-America finalist.

Sellers earned All-Big Ten honors in each of her final three seasons at Maryland and was named to the conference’s All-Defensive Team as a sophomore.
