The Los Angeles Sparks announced today that Ariana Andonian has been named the organization’s general manager.
 
Andonian joins the Sparks after serving as general manager of the Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, while also serving as the 76ers’ vice president of player personnel. She brings more than a decade of experience in basketball operations, scouting, player personnel and talent evaluation across the NBA and NBA G League.

Ariana understands the importance of identifying talent, developing players and creating a culture that can sustain success. We are thrilled to welcome her home to Los Angeles to lead the next chapter of Sparks basketball.”

A California native and graduate of the University of Southern California, Andonian began her NBA career with the Houston Rockets in 2015. During four seasons with the organization, she held roles across basketball operations and scouting, becoming the NBA’s only female scout at the time and ultimately helping coordinate the Rockets’ scouting group.
 
Andonian later earned her MBA from Duke University, where she worked directly with Hall of Fame coach Mike Krzyzewski and current head coach Jon Scheyer as a player personnel consultant for the men’s basketball program.
 
In 2020, Andonian joined the Memphis Grizzlies, where she spent four seasons and advanced to director of player personnel. In that role, she led the organization’s high school and international scouting efforts.
 
Andonian joined the Philadelphia 76ers in 2024 as vice president of player personnel, where she ran the organization’s professional scouting group and co-led its extended scouting efforts. She was named general manager of the Delaware Blue Coats in 2025, expanding her responsibilities to include roster construction and management of Philadelphia’s G League affiliate while continuing in her role with the 76ers.
 
As general manager, Andonian will oversee all aspects of Sparks basketball operations, including roster construction, player personnel, scouting and long-term basketball strategy.
 
Andonian will officially join the Sparks later this month. Prior to arriving in Los Angeles, she will attend the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin, Germany.
