When you attend a Los Angeles Sparks game or virtual event you will be greeted by our amazing ‘Voices of the Sparks’ (VOTS) – Kat, Mal-Ski, Hootie and Ari. Combined they have over 15 years of experience and are a critical part of bridging our players and fans. Kat is our Virtual Host, she is outgoing, witty, and loves interacting with our fans. Mal-Ski is our talented DJ that get the crowd dancing and LOUD. Hootie, holds it down as our Public Announcer… keeping fans in the loop play-by-play. Ari is our newest VOTS addition, as In-Arena Host she brings the energy, passion, and fun every game. There is never a dull moment for the Sparks with these three on the mics as our ‘Voices of the Sparks.’

| What advice would you give those trying to be where you are at in sports? |
| Be yourself! Nothing comes across better to a crowd and on camera than authenticity. Read everything out loud, put yourself in front of a camera, study different hosts that engage large crowds, memorize scripts, say yes to small gigs that allow you to practice hosting/emcee and never be afraid to ask those in the position you want for help. |
| Why should people come to a Sparks game? What makes them so entertaining? |
| There is never a dull moment at a game from the Sparks players engaging the crowd during warm ups, the DJ keeping the crowd hype from start to finish, the dance crews performances and the players playing the game with intensity until the end. It’s a vibe at a Sparks game, that everyone should be exposed to. |
| What do you enjoy most about your role? And why? |
| It’s exciting to be a part of the hype and overall experience that fans get to enjoy at the games. I love having the opportunity to share my energy through the mic, collaborate with DJ Malski and be an ambassador in the community for the Sparks . Oh, and of course I love rocking my new Sparks gear at every game in style. |

| Get in front of a camera or group of people! Whether it is making your own videos or emceeing a wedding just start practicing. If you can shadow people who are in the position you want to be in. |

| I love being able to connect with the fans! Working in the entertainment world you are a part of an entire experience that fans look forward to for days and even sometimes weeks. That is a special feeling I never take for granted. |

What do you enjoy most about your current role?

| It’s such an honor to be the announcer for a professional sports team in Los Angeles. And then you add in the fact that the team has won a championship while I was announcing. There are very few announcers who can say that. |
What is the most challenging when it comes to your role?

| For me, the challenge is not so much in my role as it is in knowing that there are empty seats in the arena simply because the ball is being dribbled, passed or shot by a woman. |
What advice would you give those trying to be where you are at in sports?

| READ, READ, READ. READ a lot, READ aloud and READ with a smile on your face. Do your best to be clear, concise and correct. Volunteer to announce for a local high school, college, community rec league, etc. |
