Los Angeles Sparks Sign Guard Destanni Henderson to Hardship Contract   

LOS ANGELES (June 16, 2023) – The Los Angeles Sparks announced today the signing of Destanni Henderson to an emergency hardship contract.

The Fort Meyers, FL native was drafted 20th overall in the 2022 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever. She appeared in 36 games for the Fever in 2022, averaging 5.3 points-per-game and a .366 3-point field-goal percentage. She was waived on May 16, 2023, during training camp.

Henderson attended the University of South Carolina for all four years of her collegiate career, culminating in a national championship. She was a teammate of current Sparks player, Zia Cooke while at South Carolina. In the title game, she recorded a career-high 26 points, four assists and three steals in a 64-49 win over UConn.
