2019 Los Angeles Sparks Schedule Released

LOS ANGELES, CA (Dec. 18, 2018) The Los Angeles Sparks are excited to announce their 2019 schedule after the WNBA released the league-wide schedule earlier today. The Sparks and new head coach Derek Fisher will kick off the season on Sunday, May 26 with a trip to Las Vegas to play the Aces at 5 p.m. PT. The home opener will follow on Friday, May 31 at Staples Center in a matchup against the Connecticut Sun at 7:30 p.m. PT.

The Sparks will participate in five nationally televised games in 2019, the first of which will be on ABC at the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday, June 8 at 12:30 p.m. PT. The other four national games will be on ESPN2, and include a home game against the Aces on Aug. 1 at 7 p.m. PT, at home against the Phoenix Mercury on Aug. 8 at 7 p.m. PT, at the Washington Mystics on Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. PT and at home for the season finale against the Lynx at 2 p.m. PT on Sept. 8.

The team will be on the road for five of its first six games, but will end the season with 10 of its last 15 games at Staples Center. Los Angeles will play Las Vegas four times and the rest of the league three times. The Sparks will look to make its WNBA league-leading 19th playoff appearance and its eighth straight trip to the postseason.
