LOS ANGELES, CA – The 2016 reigning WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks announced the 2017 preseason schedule, which will feature road games against the New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun, as well as a home game against the San Antonio Stars.
The LA Sparks and the Liberty will tip off preseason action at 5:00 PM ET on Tuesday, May 2nd at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut, followed by playing the Sun on Wednesday, May 3rd at 7:00 PM ET at the same arena.
Following their road trip, the LA Sparks will close out the preseason schedule with a home game against the San Antonio Stars on Saturday, May 6th at Pasadena City College with a 4:00 PM PT tip. Tickets for the game in Pasadena can be purchased over the phone at 844.GO.Sparks or at the door on the day of the game. Entry into the preseason game at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium for all kids 12 and under is free of charge.
Heading into the 2017 campaign, the team is led by WNBA 2016 Finals MVP Candace Parker, WNBA MVP Nneka Ogwumike, Sixth Woman of the Year Jantel Lavender and First Team All-Defense Alana Beard.
The LA Sparks, presented by EquiTrust, will begin the 2017 regular season inside STAPLES Center on May 13th at 2:00 PM PT as they take on the Seattle Storm.
