Young girls in our community are the future leaders and an inspiration in their own right. They are shaping and defining the legacy that they will leave to others.

Singer Taylor Swift once said, “No matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.”

Another singer, Janet Jackson, stated “I would hope my legacy would be bringing smiles to faces. Happiness with my music.”

We challenge young girls in our community to submit an essay answering the question: What do you want your legacy to be?  Upon submission we will select one (1) finalist from each category (5th – 8th grade and 9th – 12th grade) to be recognized on 8.27.17. These finalists will each be awarded a $3,000 scholarship.
